Sand Castle Guesthouse & Sand Witch Art Cafe. What a cool name! |
Marx and I had the luxury of staying two nights in this quiet city. There are many big and posh resorts here but I guess staying in a cozy guesthouse will help you feel more at home.
The Sand Witch Art Cafe and Guesthouse is one of such. Located along the main road, this little cafe also offers A/C and Non-A/C rooms. Do not be fooled by their humble facade for the food is affordable and incredible! The modest structures of this cozy cafe do not do justice to the type of service and food it offers.
Cafe, double fan room with private bath |
You will definitely want more of this Mozzarella Cheese Pizza |
We stayed in a simple but quite spacious double fan room with private bath. The bed was big enough I think four people could sleep comfortably in it. The rooms has a large window which allows fresh air to come in and provide a glimpse of the sky outside. Though they do not yet offer free WiFi, the cafe is just about a 10-minute walk to the almost-deserted Candolim beach!
Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Aioli |

Our plates always looks like this after every meal 😉 |
Truly this yummy cafe is Goa’s little secret. I hope their unique brand of hospitality and food service will just get better. I will not have second thoughts staying here again. This time, I will choose to stay in one of the A/C rooms, munch on those mouth-watering chicken wings and hope that outside, it will rain.
