The months-long quarantine period had me yearning for anything looking green. From browsing through my past travel photos to watching Youtube videos, I told myself that I cannot end 2020 without at least doing one getaway.
Boracay was calling my name but all those pre-travel requirements will definitely prevent me from booking a flight. I had to look somewhere near. But that place ought to be classy as well. Being cooped up in the house for so long I think we all deserve to stay in a nice place that is void of stress and sad reminders of this ongoing pandemic.
Good thing that we had the opportunity to visit Casa Tropica. Our overnight stay was more than enough to make up for the lost time. It felt like summer in October! I thought that it was God’s early gift for my birthday. 🙂
Casa Tropica Villas is a newly-opened vacation home rental located in the heart of Brgy. Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna. Now most would probably relate Pansol to the many private homes turned to overnight villas. Most of you probably have at least attended one event in your lifetime held in these resorts. Think of loud karaoke, the usual pool, caretakers haggling with walk-in guests.
But once you have visited Casa Tropica, I think your idea of Pansol would gradually change as stepping in the resort’s tranquil interiors is like being in a faraway place in the country. You can also imagine being in a villa somewhere in Bali or Palawan or in secluded mountain resort somewhere.

I know that most people still have apprehensions in going out of the comfort of their homes and taking that brave decision of going on a vacation. If you get tired of sleeping in your clean, cool rooms, you can have a swim or just sing your heart out. Yes! They have karaoke! 😀 Murals, plants and Filipino designs add more to the resort’s tropical villa appeal.
Cooking your own food is also not a problem as the resort comes with a fully-equipped kitchen.

Currently, only the Makiling Villas is open for guests. However, the Lambana Villa will have its opening later this year.
The Makiling Villa has four rooms – one is located on the first floor while the rest are on the second floor.
1.) Room 1 – 1st Floor – up to 6 pax; Suite Room w/ own bathroom. Beds: 2 Queen Beds + 2 Extra Single Beds as needed.
2.) Room 2: 2nd Floor – up to 6 pax; Suite Room w/ own bathroom. Beds: 2 Queen Beds + 2 Extra Single Beds as needed
3.) Room 3: 2nd floor – up to 10 pax; Family Room w/ own bathroom; Beds: 2 Double Deck Beds (4 Queen Beds) + 2 Extra Single Beds as needed.
