I embarked on a solo Shenzhen, China trip way back in 2019. Air Asia just recently launched a direct flight from Manila to Shenzhen back then. Prior to that, I was mulling for a few months already when I can explore another country on my own. And Shenzhen appeared to be a starting point for me then.
Splendid China – Folk Culture Village is a theme park in Shenzhen which reflects China’s history, culture, art, ancient architecture, customs and habits of various nationalities. The theme park actually consists of two areas: Splendid China Miniature Park & China Folk Culture Village.
From its name, the Splendid China Miniature Park features mini versions of China’s man-made and natural attractions while the China Folk Culture Village features displays of the daily life and architecture of China’s ethnic groups.
I spent a just a few hours exploring the theme park because the gray weather made walking around the park unexciting. Nevertheless, I was still able to capture some shots worth poring over.
